Online Casino Fraud

Unfortunately, not all operators in the world of online casinos enter the gambling market with honest intentions. Fraudulent casinos have been largely eradicated by the regulatory system, and most licensed casinos operate within the law. Nevertheless, there will always be unscrupulous casinos that are worth paying attention to, and that is why we have created a special list of casinos that cannot be trusted and are blacklisted.

We would like to emphasize in advance that blacklisting any bad casino is an extreme measure on our part. There will always be conflicts between players and the casino (this is to some extent considered the norm), but such general conflicts are not a sufficient reason for the casino to be blacklisted. The blacklist will include only those unscrupulous casinos that, as we know, are scammers, liars and falsified enterprises.

On our website you will always find an up-to-date and complete list of dangerous casinos that cannot be trusted, and every casino on this list has proven its malicious intentions without any doubt before we added it there. This is the least we can do, as players deserve to use only the best online casinos that operate in a way that does not harm anyone.

What is a blacklisted fraudulent casino?

In short, fraudulent casinos are determined by the dishonest and malicious intentions of the operators behind them. There are many different ways of manifesting these bad intentions, some of which are easier to detect than others. However, there are certain “alarm bells” that you should pay attention to, and below we will take a closer look at the main of the most common ones.

Problems with payment

While even legitimate and licensed casinos may end up clashing with players over payments, casino fraud is on a completely different level. Legitimate and trusted casinos are always trying to find a solution with the player regarding a specific situation, while fraudulent casinos will do everything to stall for time (if they deign to answer you at all).

Almost all online casinos constantly have conflicts of this kind, but payment problems affect only a small percentage of players. However, those casinos that are blacklisted have long crossed the line when they do not want to negotiate or resolve any issues at all. They simply refuse to pay without explaining the reasons, and this happens to a significant percentage of their players.

False promos and misleading advertising

Despite the fact that antics with promotions, bonuses, etc. were a fairly common practice, recent regulatory measures have made this matter much more difficult for licensed operators. Nowadays, the most important Bonus Terms and Conditions must be clearly indicated next to any welcome offer, which makes it difficult to place the material in small print somewhere on a hard-to-reach Terms page.

This is good news for players and bad news for fraudulent casinos. However, bad casinos will simply bypass clever marketing tricks, because they will simply make promises that they are not going to fulfill in any form. They usually seduce players with unnaturally attractive promotional offers, after which they change the Terms of the contract or refuse to pay money at all.

Casinos with pirated software

We think you’ve sometimes heard stories about a blacklisted casino offering “pirate” slots and casino games. This problem is most common in Asia. In fact, fraudulent casinos, which usually operate in locations such as Russia, Ukraine or Asia, steal any software, slots and games that they are interested in, and then reprogram them at their discretion.

They will lure players with false advertisements and promos (see above) and provide false statistics for the games, which makes these casinos seem “real”. Not only can these fraudulent casinos offer games without paying a license fee, but they can also set up RTP and a mathematical model to rake in big money before they are hopefully exposed and blocked.

Malicious modification of the Terms of the User Agreement

As we have already mentioned, these days it has become much more difficult for legitimate and licensed casinos to hide information that is unfavorable for them on their Terms and Conditions page. However, casinos that operate outside the regulatory framework, in the “slums of the Internet”, so to speak, are not at all obliged to comply with any rules. They can do whatever they see fit, at least until they are caught and blocked.

They can offer you insane bonuses with Conditions that seem too good to be true, and after you fall for their trick and sign up, you will be presented with a completely different version of the Conditions. Of course, licensed casinos also update their Terms on a regular basis, but they usually do not do this with malicious intent, as blacklisted casinos do.

Fraudulent Casino Slots

Fraud charges are regularly brought against most well-known casinos simply because some players cannot incur losses without recouping. We can assure you that it is almost impossible to manage a rigged casino under the current regulatory regime. Not only is each licensed casino carefully reviewed by trusted and independent third parties, each individual slot also goes through its own individual and rigorous licensing process.

Of course, unreliable and unsafe casinos operating solely on their own in the online jungle, as Colonel Kurtz did in Apocalypse Now, is a completely different matter. They can fake anything they see fit, and although they are usually discovered after a while, the damage has already been done to all players trapped in the scam. This problem is easily avoided if you interact with well-known and licensed operators.

Security of your personal data

To play online casinos these days, you have to give out quite a lot of purely personal data, and it’s better to make sure that you don’t give this information to the blacklist of fraudulent casinos. Just imagine how much damage and trouble this information can cause you if it falls into the wrong hands! As far as we know, a fraudulent casino may well become a cover for a large-scale identity theft operation.

If you are not going to publish every detail about yourself that scammers could sell to the highest bidder on the dark web, then it is better to take certain precautions when playing at an online casino. Just choose legitimate and licensed brands, as there are more than enough of them anyway. They use the latest encryption technologies, and everything has been repeatedly verified to ensure that your personal data remains protected.

Constant conflicts and complaints

As we mentioned above, online casinos may conflict with a small percentage of the total number of players. Sometimes the casino turns out to be right, and in other cases the player still has a legitimate complaint. In most cases, these conflicts are resolved after some time. However, if problems accumulate, the operator may well be blacklisted as an unreliable or unsafe casino.

The problem with conflicts from players is, of course, less serious than outright fraud on the part of the casino. Before we examine this casino for suspected fraud, there must be a significant number of unresolved complaints on its account. The operator must also demonstrate an unreasonable reluctance to solve anything, and the lack of an answer for a long period of time will also exacerbate his precarious position when it comes to avoiding being blacklisted by the casino.

Is it possible to exclude casinos from the blacklist?

As we said in the introduction, adding a malicious, fraudulent casino to our blacklist is a last resort. We are sincerely sorry to do this and would like the blacklist not to exist at all; but we are doing this in the interests of protecting the reputation of legitimate, reliable and licensed operators, as well as in the interests of all players who deserve more than stealing money and leaking personal data.

Answering the question in the title: yes, of course, removing casinos from the blacklist is still possible. However, since we take all possible precautions before adding a fraudulent casino to the list, the probability of being removed from the “wall of shame” is extremely low. We will have to deal with this case on an individual basis, as the blacklist of fraudulent casinos continues to grow, and any operator is certainly free to contact us if he believes that he has been treated unfairly.

  1. A lot of scams are connected with online casinos. Even casinos with a reputation will make the algorithm such that you will never win.
